EK celebrates Brazilian patroness Our Lady of Aparecida.
Brazilian brothers and sisters of Sion living in Jerusalem celebrated last Thursday (October 12), in Ein Karem (Jerusalem), the 300 years since the discovery of the statue of Our Lady of Aparecida by fishermen in the Paraíba River in October, 1717.
Besides brothers, sisters and novices of Sion, there were also Franciscans, Salesians, members of other communities (Canção Nova, Shalom), the Brazilian ambassador in Ramalah (Francisco Mauro de Holanda), among other diplomats.
After the Mass, all were invited to a “Brazilian” dinner.
